non-vented, air cooled extruder with heat control panel and DC drive
and motor mounted on a common base including the following:
- Barrel drilled,
tapped and plugged ports for pressure or rupture discs assembly.
- Sheaves and belts
with belt guard.
- Screen plate.
- Four electrically
heated air cooled barrel zones.
- Double reduction gear
box with 14:1 ratio, utilizing helical gearing, radial bearings and
splash type lubrication.
- Gearbox, rated a 75
HP at 125 RPM, 1.25 service factor.
- Thrust bearing with
L-10 life of 250,000 hours at 5,000 PSI and 100 RPM.
- Mild steel hopper
with sight glass, dump chute, and slide gate assembly.
- Single stage 2 ½”,
24:1 L/D, cored general purpose screw, flame hardened flight lands,
chrome plated between flights.
- 40 HP, 1750 RPM, AC
motor with thermo guard, blower motor and filter mounted on a
vertically adjustable base.
- Start button.
- Stop button.
- Emergency stop.

control cabinet consisting of:
1 - 40 HP, static DC
drive control with DC voltage regulated feed back, 21:1 speed range,
8 RPM speed regulation accuracy.
4 - Barrel zone
controllers, heat and cool function.
